A portable branded counter gives visitors a clear place to check in, collect information or start a conversation. Choose it by the working surface and staff space first, then decide whether the branding needs illumination. A printed counter is a presentation fixture; equipment, secure storage and the wider reception layout need their own plan.

What size counter do I need for event check-in?
List what must sit on the surface: a laptop or tablet, badge trays, handouts and space for visitors to write. Measure those items and leave room for the staff member to work. Counter width alone does not tell you how many check-in stations fit; equipment depth, cable clearance and the handover space matter too.
Mark the visitor queue and the staff position on the floor plan. Keep entry doors and circulation routes clear. If visitors need a seated or lower writing surface, plan one separately; do not assume a standing-height counter meets every visitor’s needs.
| Counter | Listed package | Planning consideration |
|---|---|---|
| InfoDesk 02F Straight | Two connected frame panels, matching black acrylic tops, double-sided printed fabric and XL nylon bag. | 68.4 in wide × 19.2 in deep × 39.4 in high; middle shelves are optional. |
| Casonara 40 in Lightbox Counter | 100M frame, feet and top; four-sided printed backlit graphic; LED array, power supply and CA700 wheeled case. | Plan an outlet and cables for illumination; a backwall and printed case wrap are separate. |
Should I choose a lit or non-lit counter?
A non-lit counter is useful where the room lighting is sufficient or power is inconvenient. The InfoDesk 02F’s printed fabric does not require electricity. A backlit counter can emphasize the welcome point when illumination is part of the design, but the Casonara lighting needs power. Check the venue’s arrangements before choosing it for an entrance or shared lobby.
Use a short front-facing message such as your organization name and “Welcome” or “Check In.” Save instructions that change frequently for a separate sign or screen. Review side and rear visibility: staff equipment or an adjacent wall may hide some printed surfaces.
Does a portable counter include storage?
Do not assume it does. The InfoDesk 02F’s optional middle shelves are not included in its standard package. Neither counter description above establishes a lockable cabinet. Arrange secure storage separately for personal belongings, valuable equipment or sensitive attendee materials. Confirm the model’s surface-load limits before placing heavy equipment on it.
Can a transport case double as the counter?
Some display packages offer a case with a counter top and wrap. That can be useful when you want the same item to serve during transport and at the event, but confirm all conversion components and whether the wrap is plain or custom printed. A case included with a separate counter is not automatically a second branded reception desk.
Can I reuse the counter for other events?
A lasting organization graphic can work at conferences, open houses, recruiting events and temporary welcome areas. When the message changes, order a compatible graphic matched to the exact counter model and printed surfaces. Keep the model, setup instructions and packing list together so another staff member can prepare it.
